Which Regional Series Events award Points?
Events listing RS Max Pts are Regional Series rated events that are Powered by Uventex with automated scheduling, real-time bracket, results tracking and rankings posted directing to our website.
How many points do I get for each Rated RS Max Points Tournament?
Rated Tournaments on the regional tournament schedule will award the following point values: 1st Place = 100 points, 2nd Place = 75 points, 3rd Place = 50 points 4th Place = 25 points and 5th-8th Place = 10 points. If you see a tournament flyer advertising Regional Series - RS Max Pts, but it is not listed on the schedule within 30 days of the event, then it is not a Regional Series Sanctioned and Rated event, and you will not receive points for attending.
When does the Regional Series point seasons begin and end?
The Regional Series Tournament Season is January - December. As tournament dates come in the calendar will be updated. Watch the tournament schedule. All ratings points and current event calendar may be viewed on this website.
How can I be sure that I'll receive points for an advertised event?
Check the Regional Series Tournament Schedule. This schedule is updated as tournament dates are sent in by promoters. Only Regional Series Rated Tournaments on this list will award RS Max Points. If you are a Regional Series Member by the date of competition, you will be eligible for Top Ten Champions Awards for being rated and earning points for 1st-8th Place at Rated Tournaments on this list. If a tournament is not on the list within 30 days of an event, then it is not a sanctioned event, and you will not receive points for competition.
What happens when you change divisions during the season?
If you change divisions throughout the year (because of rank advancement or age), the division where you accumulate the most points is where you will receive your combined total at the end of the season.
What types of memberships do you offer and how can I accumulate points in the Regional Series?
There are two types of individual memberships in the Regional Series.
Silver Level 1 - Standard Membership is FREE to Regional Series competitors that register to compete in a rated tournament. Each competitor will earn 1st-8th place points, included in tournament results and published rankings.
Gold Level 2 - Premier Membership benefits consist of receiving premium membership items, being included in published rankings, eligible for Competitor Top Ten Awards and eligible for seeding in the Regional Series Finals. Visit our JOIN page to sign up today.
Where can I find a copy of the tournament rules?
Any of the tournament promoters should be able to supply you with a copy of the rules for their event. Simply call the phone number on the tournament schedule. Generally, all the Regional Series tournaments will run the same rules. Check with the registration table at the events, and you will most likely find a copy of the rules there as well. You may also download a copy from this website.
How can I get on a mailing list for tournament flyers?
Call, e-mail, or ask the promoters at the events to put you on their own personal mailing list. If you are an instructor, contact our Regional Director, and ask about the Academy Alliance Program.
